How it started
Hello Dolly Pastries was established in 2019 by Kourtney Morin, a neurodivergent member of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community.
Renting commercial kitchen spaces, vending at local markets, like 613Flea and creating custom deserts for friends, family and coworkers alike.
While Hello Dolly Pastries may have started as a hobby job and a way to substitute income for their child's medical expenses, it quickly became so much more!
In 2022, thanks to the love and support of our community, Kourtney was able to move Hello Dolly Pastries from rental kitchens, to it's own brick and mortar, located in Wellington West.
Behind the Name
A note from K: Growing up people have rarely called me by my given name. Family and loved ones have always come up with unprompted names for me that have just stuck.
Most notably is the one my mother has called me since birth, Dolly.
So it was no surprise that when I reached out to her when trying to decide on a name for the business, everything clicked when she answered (as she always does), cheerfully exclaiming "Hello Dolly!".
The "Pastries" was just so y'all would know that it was food.

Happily merging playful, imaginative whimsy with specialized nerdy passions for our favourite fandoms that make our inner child scream with joy!

Every purchase goes towards using the highest quality ingredients, providing our staff with a livable wage, and an accommodating work environment.

So while our site is mostly made-to-order items, our in store offerings rotate every few weeks!
